video - insomnia virus

Thank you so much for this virus, community. This was exactly what I needed right now.

[Yuri is sounding irritable today. Extremely so, in fact. It's... pretty unlike her, she's usually so calm.]

It's not like I have a town to protect or a life to lead or anything, oh no! I'm perfectly fine with not sleeping for this long, it's a nice change.

[She groans and leans forward a little too quickly, her head meeting her desk with a soft thud. Which elicits another groan.]

God, I hope the Desert Apostles are going to give us a break for once.

I hope they give you a break too... I feel like just lying down on my side and not doing anything, even though I know I can't sleep. I'm thinking of trying coffee for the first time just to make it feel a little better.

[ He really only drinks tea normally.. ]

Maybe something relaxing at least might help?

I tried taking a hot bath, drinking tea, reading, I even tried just staring at the ceiling. None of those made me feel more relaxed, even though I know they should.

[She rubs her head and sighs.]

Please let this be a short virus...

I hope it is. I don't mind sleeping in class, but not being able to sleep at all might be a problem..

I'd prefer not to fall asleep anywhere except my bed, but I'm starting to reconsider that stance. I just hope this won't affect my fighting too much. It's hard to focus like this.

Well, obviously, yes. Me too.

[Yuri... doesn't get angry a lot. Even when she was upset with Tsubomi or the others, she was more cold than anything else, but the virus has left her very, very pissed. Try not to take it too personally, Tsubomi.]

I'll live. My family has confined me to bed for the time being to try and get to sleep. We've tried a melatone too. But that doesn't help. So I'm playing video games.

Yes, you probably won't be able to sleep until the virus ends, assuming the community doesn't decide to throw us for a loop. Hopefully it will be a short one, so you can get some rest soon.

I figured as much. At least Signum took over cooking. Shamal would have burnt down the house by now.

Final Fantasy XIV. It's a MMORPG. I'm lv 17 now. I don't know HOW I was able to get it to run though, my computer only has a gig of RAM and no video card. I'm going to chalk it up to Community Shenanigans.

[It was a 2005 computer. FFXIV would have chugged hard.]

...yes, we... we definitely wouldn't want that.

That... Yes, I definitely think that's the community interfering, since I'm fairly sure that should be impossible. At least it can do some good things, I suppose. Is the game fun? I don't know anything about these types of games, I'm afraid.

Yeah. Shamal can burn water. I've seen it happen.

It's not even out yet in my world, it's just a gleam in Square-Enix's eyes which reminds me that they must have gone somewhere that had it. My family has worldhop abilities.

It is really fun, and I've joined a Free Company and everyone's really nice.

I'm not sure whether to be horrified or impressed.

That does come in handy. I haven't really tried worldhopping for anything like that before. Maybe I should.

That's... some kind of group, I'm guessing?

You should try it, it's kinda fun actually.

It's a guild, sort of a group of players that work together.
